Frequently Asked Questions Who can use Tolta TeleHealth? Patients must be physically located in New York State at the time of their visit. Adults 18 and older may consent for themselves. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. What conditions can be treated through telehealth? Telehealth is appropriate for many non-emergency concerns, including minor illnesses, headaches, allergies, women’s health issues, sexual health concerns, weight management consultations, and follow-up visits. Some conditions may require in-person care. Do you accept insurance? No. Tolta TeleHealth is a cash-only practice. Pricing is transparent and shown before you book your visit. Are labs or medications included in the visit fee? No. Labs and medications are not included. If ordered, they are billed separately by the laboratory or pharmacy at the time of service. Can medications be prescribed through telehealth? Yes, when medically appropriate and permitted under New York State law. Not all conditions or medications can be treated via telehealth. Is Tolta TeleHealth for emergencies? No. Tolta TeleHealth does not provide emergency care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. How is my privacy protected? All visits are conducted using a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Your personal and medical information is protected at all times. How do I book an appointment? Appointments are scheduled through our secure booking system.
